This time, however, a few more family members came along. Jason’s parents, Bob and Karen, boarded the RV tour bus along with the family’s newest additions: Jason & deMarco’s one-year old twin sons, Mason and Noah.
Jason & deMarco first recorded a Christmas album together in 2002 and launched a national Christmas tour. They had such an overwhelming response to their tour that they began recording more albums together and to-date have released six CD’s and several singles, two that climbed the Billboard charts and a music video for their hit song “This is Love” that won “Video of the Year” on LOGO in 2006. Jason & deMarco’s most recent album release is SAFE. They will perform many of the tracks from the album on their “Celebrating Families of Diversity” tour as well as new arrangements to well known songs that they haven’t recorded yet including “Imagine” and “Hallelujah”.
The tour commemorated Jason & deMarco’s ten year anniversary as a singing duo. Jason & deMarco are independent artists and songwriters who have spent the last four years touring the U.S. and abroad performing over 100 concerts per year. Their music focuses on every day challenges, relationships, and the kind of struggles that we all identify with; yet they have the courage to write from a personal place, unapologetic and proud of who they are, without compromising their principals.
With the international release of their latest album SAFE and the rave reviews that their award-winning SHOWTIME film, We’re All Angels, is receiving, Jason and deMarco’s story in the September 22nd issue of ‘People’ made the recording duo familiar names to music fans around the world. The feel-good melody and catchy chorus of their first single, “It’s Okay” earned Top 40 status on the Billboard Charts last summer and was recently selected as an Abercrombie and Fitch In-Store Playlist favorite across the nation. With the release of SAFE, Jason & deMarco stepped into the mainstream with their new moody and chilled-out delivery of new music as well as recordings that appear in We’re All Angels. Known to loyal fans for their beautiful harmonies, uplifting lyrics and empowering messages, Jason & deMarco take this opportunity to have their voices heard by a new audience.
Jason & deMarco have had the opportunity to perform at numerous high profile events/venues including the Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, the Matthew Shepard Foundation’s annual gala in Denver, and the 2006 Human Rights Campaign Gala at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
They have also been a part of the Human Rights Campaign star-studded benefit two-pack CD album celebrating marriage equality, Love Rocks, alongside artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, and The Dixie Chicks.
The duo have worked with producer Alan Lett, with additional production from Grammy Award winning producer, Joe Hogue (LeAnn Rimes, Michael W. Smith, Carmen), Rhys Fulber (Sinead O’Connor, Josh Groban, Conjure One), and Eddie X and Luigie Gonzalez (Ricky Martin, Barbara Streisand, etc.).
Jason & deMarco’s latest release entitled “SAFE”, produced by David Eaton (Dynamite Hack’s hit “Boyz-N’Tha Hood”, The Polyphonic Spree’s “Soldier Girl”), was released September 16, 2008. “SAFE” is now available at major retailers like Virgin Megastore, Best Buy, and select FYE stores through Centaur Entertainment in collaboration with RJN MUSIC and is available for purchase online as well as digitally throughout Europe in France, Spain, The Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, The United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Australia.
